Calling all Punkdom! £L& (Poundland) has hit the streets looking for a mohican and a brawl with a mod!
Ever wondered what an impromptu punk gig in an 80’s arcade would sound like? Well here’s your answer…and it’s pretty freaking cool.
The album kicks off with ‘Lord of the Pies’ which, whilst short and sweet (well, short and raucous), is anthemic and clearly a call out to the people. So plug in and listen up!
The pacy ‘Murdathugs’ has an element of Ian Drury on amphetamines, whilst ‘Car Crash Drunks’ would be a perfect theme tune for a modern day ‘Only Fools & Horses’ with its head nodding, blues-punk sound.
£L& is brimming with dystopian messages, surging guitars, energy and the blood, sweat and tears of the indomitable DannyDangerously.
Beefy, raw and emotive, ‘Fuck The Torys’ along with the title track ‘£L&’ are stand out tracks – the kind that slap you in the face and give you a serious wedgie before you even realise what’s happened.
Only a limited number of first presses have been released, so if you’ve got your hands on it, you’re one lucky punk.
In the words of David Bowie ‘to be played at maximum volume.’
